Our New Zealand road trip continues, but in one of our final days in Rotorua we swapped out vanlife for our first trip in a seaplane! While there's plenty of Rotorua hot springs, the Lake Rotoiti hot pools are special because of how secluded they are.. we actually were the only people there!

If you had a boat or kayak you could likely reach them, but we decided to go a step further and book the Volcanic Air Lake Rotoiti hot pool trip (only $165 NZD per person) to get a scenic flight at the same time as a dip.
