During the college football game between Northern Illinois and Coastal Carolina, a funny play happened late in the game when Coastal Carolina recovered a NIU fumble and looked to get a big return... but his own teammate tackled him around midfield. He likely thought it was the smart play to make so Coastal Carolina could burn off more clock, but it was actually the opposite because Coastal Carolina ended up having to punt the ball back to NIU, giving them a chance to win it. Fortunately for the Chanticleers, they held on for a 47-41 win in the 2021 Cure Bowl.
