I received an invitation from the Musicians' Union to join in with the annual Gay Pride walk in London and didn't hesitate to accept. As someone who would never identify as typical I've always felt we can all learn a lot from the way the LGBT community negotiate the world in which they're not expected to be themselves and of course there's worth in itself to supporting a human rights cause simply because it's the right thing to do. Apart from that it's always fun to get out, walk through Central London, meet some interesting people and enjoy all the bright colours on display.
I also took the opportunity to bring back the Wembley nails as a token effort to look fabulous for the day. I must admit I'm rather growing attached to them, so I may have to face a disappointed girlfriend to whom I had donated the two bottles thinking I wouldn't be using them again. I'll probably just have to buy more.
The rain was heavy but the ground was warm - which make for ideal conditions for walking barefoot. I even bumped into one or two people along the way who'd realised this.
I don't know what the next upload will be, but I do have some exciting things planned. It's just a question of what will come first!
