Let’s take a look at how to delete your chat history on the ChatGPT app on your iPhone.

We’ll take a look at how to delete the entire history, and then how to delete individual chats one by one if you’d rather do that.

Get started by finding and opening the ChatGPT app.

To see all of your chat history, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen.

Here you’ll find a list of all your past chats. To delete everything, tap the three dots down at the bottom of this menu next to your name.

Here in the top section, find and choose data controls.

Next, inside of here, you’ll see delete all chats. You can also archive everything if you’d rather do that, instead of deleting. It’ll remove them from your history bar, but you can still restore them late.

Make your choice, and the entire history will be removed.

Next, let’s say we don’t want to remove everything, but maybe just deleted a couple of chats.

Head back to the main screen here and open your history. From here, find the chat that you want to delete.

Instead of choosing it, press and hold on the chat name. You’ll then get a pop up menu, where you’ll then again have the option to archive or delete the chat.

I’ll go ahead and tap delete, and just like that, the chat will be deleted from my history.

And that’s how you delete chat history inside of the ChatGPT iPhone app.
