The Tom Mills drum is a museum piece, LITERALLY, because it was made by the founder of Sonor drums before he started Sonor drums and because it was THE inspiration for William F Ludwig to start making brass shell, separate tension snare drums in the US long before Ludwig and Ludwig existed. These drums were unmarked and they can be easily mistaken for old worthless instruments by the novice antique collector. I suspect that is what happened here.
The footage in this video are the only playing examples that I was able to find of this historically significant piece of drum history.
