Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has taken to social media to apologise to her fans in Saudi Arabai after she was booted off stage while performing in Riyadh on Friday night.
The Grammy Award nominee was headlining the Gamers8 e-sports event at Boulevard Riyadh City when she revealed she suffered an "embarrassing" wardrobe malfunction.
“Saudi Arabia please know to everyone at the show tonight…I LOVE YOU!!! And I’m soooooo sorry I wasn’t allowed to finish my show,” the Fancy rapper wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
It’s not the promoter who put on the shows fault so show them kindness because they are amazing people and we all wanted to continue but were not allowed by authorities because of my pants splitting.”
One fan responded by asking if the authorities wouldn’t just let her change pants.
Azalea responded by explaining that they did let her change, but claimed it was her comments to the concert-goers after the mishap that sent the officials"over the edge."
“I did but I also said 'ladies make some noise, it’s a woman’s world!,” Azalea explained
"Apparently that sent the authorities over the edge.
“I’m cool I just didn’t want the fans to be sad or angry at the show organizers cause it wasn’t their control or mine it was the police at the side of stage.”
The ARIA award winner also addressed the incident on Instagram, Page Six reports.
“Saudi Arabia… Wasssssss…. probably the worst possible place to have my pants split & unfortunately I wasn’t permitted to end the show️,” the 33-year-old captioned a slideshow showing clips from the performance.
“BUT silver lining,” she added. “The promoters were amazingly kind to me & the PEOPLE who came were the absolute most supportive.”
Addressing her Saudi fans Azalea said “I love you guys.”
“This was not what I intended for the show but it’s a memory I’ll have forever & ultimately showed me how kind, loving & supportive people can be while you’re having such an embarrassing moment,” she added.
