Thoran is a coconut-based vegetable dish from Kerala. This common dish is usually eaten with steamed rice. Thoran is a common menu item for a sadhya! Prepared with some easily available ingredients, this South Indian delicacy is a perfect melange of aromatic curry leaves and crunchy coconut cooked with grated beetroot and carrots. What's makes this dish even more delicious is the use of coconut oil in preparing this delicacy.
I personally love a quick thoran to accompany rice and daal - most of my lunches are a combination of rice with lentils, a chutney, salad and thoran. 😋🥙🍲🥗🍚
When cooking the thoran, make sure you don't overcook the vegetable. Since it's shredded already, it needs very little cooking time.

I am an engineer and MBA and worked as a consultant for eight years. I turned towards yoga to pursue a holistic career choice and particularly to offer yoga to relieve the stress brought on by a hectic corporate lifestyle.
