Join Director Johnathan Brownlee, DP Bongani Mlambo, Cem Ozkilicci, Colorist at Alter Ego and Jeff Berlin, Producer and Sony Artisan in a panel discussion which took place at the Cine Gear Expo at Paramount Studios in Hollywood on June 5th 2016, where they discuss their experiences with a new workflow incorporating the Sony α7RII cameras and CW SonderOptic lenses during production of the feature film, “Three Days in August” which premiered at last month’s Dallas International Film Festival.
Selected scenes from the film were screened in 4K showcasing the techniques used by the filmmakers and the colorist leveraging the capabilities of this camera and lens combination. The panel members describe their experiences from pre-production through post production, including selection of the camera package, advantages of 4K acquisition and the benefits of wide-capture latitude afforded by the camera’s large image sensor and Sony’s S-Log gamma profile.
