Sept 20, 2014: The combination of a commanding Gopher lead over San Jose State and the suspension of the game in the fourth quarter due to severe weather caused most fans to go home. But neither rain, nor snow, nor dark of night, nor an hour delay shall keep the University of Minnesota Marching Band from performing its duty of supporting the team and injecting enthusiasm into the event! By the time the teams had left the field and the band had come to the end of its post-game performance, the stadium was virtually empty except for family members in attendance for Band Parent Day. But the result was a perfect hushed setting for the traditional a capella performance of the state song and University anthem sung by the band at the end of each performance. Enjoy!
