As Northeast Ohio and the country remember those who lost their lives in the tragic 9/11 attacks 21 years ago, the Westlake Porter Public Library honored a Westlake woman who passed away in the attacks.
On Saturday, a ceremony at the Westlake Porter Library unveiled a piece of steel from the World Trade Center in New York.
At the ceremony, a display was unveiled memorializing all who lost their lives in the tragic 9/11 attacks, as well as Westlake resident Christina Ryook.
Ryook was in the North Tower of the World Trade Center when the first plane hit.
The corner piece of steel will sit in the lobby at the library in honor of Christina Ryook, who died in the North Tower during the 9/11 attacks 21 years ago.
Christina's parents attended the ceremony as well.
