'러시아 철수' 맥도날드, 현지 브랜드로 재개장…바뀐 이름 보니
Russia's own version of McDonald's, roughly translated to "Tasty and That's It" has officially opened, after the exit of U.S. fast-food chain from the country last month.
Opening on Sunday, dozens of Russians waited in line at the same location in the capital, where McDonald's initially opened its doors 30 years ago.
A total of 15 new facilities opened on the day at sites previously used by McDonald's.
Businessman Oleg Paroyev bought the restaurants following McDonald's decision to withdraw from Russia over the Ukraine war.
According to Paroyev 200 more locations are expected to open nationwide by the end of June, and a total of 850 by the end of summer.
