The IND-AH-FUVC-EX-LF-24-SF-WLM-10C-120V from Larson Electronics is an Indirect Far UV Air Disinfection Fixture that works to disinfect the upper room air of occupied spaces via germicidal ultraviolet (Far UV-C) rays. This unit helps to reduce the risk of cross infection and minimizes the exposure of occupants to infectious airborne microbes. This stainless steel air disinfection unit features a single 40 watt UV bulb that produces 40 uW/cm2 of UV intensity at a wavelength of 222 nm. The IND-AH-FUVC-EX-LF-24-SF-WLM-10C-120V is a powerful sanitation solution that has eye and skin safe features for public spaces. Equipped with a UVC fluorescent lamp, this system offers 40 uW/cm2 of UV intensity at a wavelength of 222 nm. The ozone-free lights have an expected lifespan of 10,000+ hours and emit a flood beam pattern with 180 degrees of coverage. This UV light is protected by a quartz glass. The far-UV light can disinfect over 99% of viruses, bacteria, mold and spores. This lamp is considered to be eye and skin safe (the 222nm UV wavelength cannot penetrate the eyes and skin of humans), making applications suitable in occupied areas requiring sanitation. Designed for cool operation, the instant-start light is efficient at eliminating harmful microbes, viruses and bacteria at low doses. Operation: This indirect Far UV air disinfection fixture projects ultraviolet rays across the top of the room it is mounted in. The upper air in the room that passes through the UV rays via convection currents or forced air circulation is then sanitized. Bacteria and viruses present in the air that passes through the UV rays produced by the fixture are destroyed. The air in the room is constantly being purified as it flows through the UV rays being produced by the fixture. The IND-AH-FUVC-EX-LF-24-SF-WLM-10C-120V is capable of disinfecting the air within an area nine feet wide and 16.25 feet long from the front of the unit.
Construction: The enclosure of the IND-AH-FUVC-EX-LF-24-SF-WLM-10C-120V is built from 304 stainless steel. A series of front mounted louvers protects people from harmful UV light as well as maximizing the amount of UV rays that are projected across the upper air of the room. Parabolic reflectors with specular aluminum inserts direct as much light from the bulb out of the unit as possible.
Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment.
