To transfer MiniDV tapes, you will need a computer with a firewire port. We will be running linux from a USB flash drive and transfering the tape with a command line utility called DVgrab. Then we will be converting the .dv file to an mp4. This process may seem complicated but it is really simple. Don't skip any part of the video since all of the information I say will be useful.
