Tritsch Tratsch Polka, which translates to Chit-chat Polka, is a high-spirited piece that is thought to reflect the Viennese passion for gossip.
The uses of glissandos imitate cheeky sounds and symphonic orchestra percussion, such as snare drum, cymbals, triangle and timpani, were also used which were typical of polkas.
A fun fact about this piece is that, it was famously used in Tom and Jerry (A Waltzing Mouse).
