The Cotswolds are famous for their typically English landscape of lovely green rolling hills, stone walls, woodland and charming little towns and villages. Many of the buildings you will see here are made from sandy yellow Cotswold Stone, making the whole area highly attractive.
Itinerary :
Day 1 : Drive from London to Castle combe - 2 hrs
- Visit famous castle combe water lane for iconic photos
- Visit St Andrews Church
- Visit The manor House hotel
Drive to airbnb for night stay - we paid £140 for 2 nights in hut stay.
Day 2:
- Drive to Bibury to view the Arlington Row, one of the most photographed streets in the Cotswolds and crossing the river Coln.
-We then took a short Bibury village walk which at the beginning has some road walking but then opens out onto a track that takes you across open countryside and through Oxhill Woods where we saw sheep and cattle grazing before heading back to the village.
Enjoy your snacks in Bibury Trout farm.
-We then drove to Bourton on the water which is 11 miles/ 20 mins drive from bibury.
-After lunch in river side of river Windrush, we visited Birdland Park and Gardens as well as The Model Village.
-Later we drove to Upper slaughter and Lower Slaughter and then back to Airbnb
