Let’s get your foot, ankle, and lower leg moving better.
This drill called UP & OVER will help improve your dorsiflexion, internal and external rotation of your ankle.
When you move your foot to the OUTSIDE of the band:
- Breathe in
- Focus on using the outer muscles of your lower legs (peroneals)
When you move your foot to the iNSIDE of the band:
- Breathe out
- Focus on using the inner muscles of your lower leg (posterior tibialis)
This drills will help:
- Reduce toe in foot drop
- Reduce toe out foot drop
- Improve dorsiflexion
- Increase ankle strength
- Improve balance
