It's always best to use certified aerial equipment, hire a professional rigger to rig your aerial silks or hire a structural engineer to test the strength of the beam/point you are hanging from.

As always, warm-up before training and attempting any exercises on the aerial silks to avoid injury. Place a thick crash mat underneath your point!
