Our return to Silverstone saw Lewis Hamilton return to the top step of the podium with his first win since the 2021 season. It was a highly popular and emotional win for the Mercedes driver who broke the record for most wins at a single circuit, as he took his ninth win at Silverstone. Max Verstappen made the most of an off-the-pace Red Bull to snatch 2nd place away from McLaren's Lando Norris who finished the race in 3rd place. Oscar Piastri was left out to dry by McLaren in changing conditions, he finished 4th. Nico Hulkenberg recorded a second consecutive 6th place finish in a row for Haas. George Russell retired from the race due to a water system problem, heartbreak for the driver who started from pole at his home race.
