Every journey begins with a single step, then another step, and another step. Most of the time, we don’t know where those steps are leading until we get there. On the first episode of The Artist(ic) Process, we explore the steps that brought Giulia Tripoli from waterpolo and police tech to becoming the owner of her own dance studio and agency in Montreal, a respected choreographer/creative director as well as a sought after judge and mentor in the dance community. From humble beginnings outside of the creative arts, she has created a world true to her self and her philosophy of endurance, elegance and excellence. Tune in to hear about her process and why it is so important for Giulia to create a podcast dedicated to all aspects of artistic journeys and the humans who take them. While going through any process, you often find yourself affected by those you’ve met along the way. The Artist(ic) Process would like to thank Sarah Steben for capturing the essence of this process with her photos and Jaime Kastner for capturing the essence of this process with her words. —— The Artist(ic) Process is brought to you by Movement Apparel. Combining a love of fashion and dance, this Montreal-based family-owned company creates comfortable, affordable streetwear to help artists feel their best so they can create their best. Inspired by 90s retro style, the colourful unisex gear is natural, eco-friendly and antibacterial to help eliminate odour and sweat while inspiring dancers to give it their all. A believer in artists supporting artists, Movement Apparel has pledged to donate 5% of their sales to the Fondation des Artistes to help the community as we get through the pandemic together.
