- This fan remake is being developed by Team Arklay's in Unreal Engine 5 named as BIOHAZARD RE1 Classic Edition.
- The project is still in an early stage of development, so there is no release date for now.
- BIOHAZARD RE1 applies UE5 features like Nanite or Lumen + Ray-Tracing for global illumination.
- All scenarios have been recreated in 3D. Resident Evil Remake for GameCube uses prerendered scenery.
- The fixed cameras are faithfully recreated with added enhancements. However, it will be possible to play with the view from the shoulder as in modern titles.
- BIOHAZARD RE1 will also have extended cinematics with original content with motion capture.
- This is a fan remake that could be classified as a AAA project. A clear demonstration of the potential of the community and its love for a saga like Resident Evil.
