I exhibited two WW2 era teletypewriters, or teletypes, both model 14. The first I show is a Teletype Model 14 GPE "Iron Horse" perforator, the second is a Teletype Model 14 Keyboard Send Receive (KSR) strip printer. The Perforator punches full chad baudot code. The KSR punches chadless baudot and prints characters on the tape. The setup here is incorrect (the printer would properly have virgin tape entering), but is meant to make the best of the current state of the equipment to show the sights, sounds, and smells of historic asynchronous serial communications.
