Marble Waves is a folk band whose style is heavily influenced by Americana, indie, and pop. Their music is known for its poetic lyrics, multiple vocals, and ethereal guitar work. As well as plugged performances, the band does full acoustic living room gigs.
‘Through the Dark’, the band’s first single, was released on 17th April 2020, followed soon after by the second single ‘Extraordinary’, and their third single ' Caught in a Current.' They released their full debut EP 'Marble Waves' on the 27th of november 2020.
In 2019, Marble Waves performed at the Gluren bij de Buren festival and played one of Utrecht’s Tivoli Vredenburg stages. Later that year, the band performed for local public broadcasters such as WOS-radio and Schie TV. Marble Waves were scheduled to play one of the Tivoli stages once again in February 2020, during the Best of 2019 Weekend, but due to the outbreak of the coronavirus the festival was sadly cancelled.
On the 17th of december 2020 the lead singer Eveline Armina was the winner of the Dutch television show ' I Can See Your Voice ' and sang a duet with Emma Heesters. Her name in the show was ' camera chick '.
The folkband consists of singer/songwriter Eveline Armina Haverlag, guitarist Frank Geerlings, bass player Amé Staal and drummer Rutger Louwerse.
