In this video, let's talk about Updated Return filing in Telugu. Updated return has been announced in Budget 2022 which allows the tax payer to file their ITR up to 2 years from the end of relevant assessment year. CBDT recently released a notification 48/2022 which specified ITR-U needs to be filed for updated return from FY 2019-20 (i.e. AY 2020-21)
Sec 139(8A) of Income Tax Act deals with Updated Return and sec 140B deals with payment of tax related to updated return.
