Cusco, Peru is one of the most unique and beautiful cities we have traveled to. The food in Cusco is equally exquisite, so we had to do a food tour while in the city! From Plaza de Armas and up the hill to San Blas, we stuffed our faces with delicious Peruvian cuisine for an entire evening.
Our first stop was a modern bar overlooking the city and surrounding mountains. It is a popular spot for tourists and the cuisine is definitely styled to fit more foreign palates, but it's still a great stop.
Our second stop was more much traditional and quiet, a welcome transition after the busy rooftop bar. Best of all, it was in San Blas, which was our favorite part of town! We had a lovely traditional Peruvian meal, complete with quinoa soup and coca mate tea.
Our third stop was for tapas and drinks, near the border of Plaza de Armas and San Blas. It was a higher-end establishment, which is a different pace for us, but the drinks were strong and the food was delicious.
Our last stop was at the Chocolate Museum, home to chocolate of all shapes, sizes, and flavors. We enjoyed sampling chocolate tea and chocolates from all around South America.
