The discussion aims to present the book, in comparison and reference to current knowledge, which is useful for English learners as well as language lovers. Based on that, participants are expected to reflex on their mother tongue, Indonesian. Some of the most interesting parts of the book will be covered, such as the formation of words – where the words come from (Do you know “amok” is rooted from “amuk” in Indonesian?), in which ways they are formed (do you know “Goodbye” originally is “God be with you”?) and the pronunciation of English (which sounds is the most common in English speaking world? How does Indonesian accent affect Indonesian people’s English accent and how to deal with that, etc.?)
Following that, there will be quizzes and games, such as English idioms in which participants try explaining their meaning. At the end of the book discussion is the group sharing in attempt for participants to share with one another about the resources for further studying.
