(22 May 2016) Over a thousand people took to the streets of Rio de Janeiro on Sunday to protest against acting Brazilian President Michel Temer.
Chanting "Temer out," the protesters marched in downtown Rio de Janeiro and called for the interim president's resignation.
Some protesters said they want suspended President Dilma Rousseff back, while other protesters want new elections.
Temer replaced the leftist leader earlier this month when the Senate voted to impeach her.
Temer has faced daily protests in Brazil's main cities since he took office.
Meanwhile, in Sao Paulo at least 2,000 protesters marched toward Temer's residence.
