More bad news for 2022-2023 Toyota Tundra owners... Dealerships are passing on them now. They're not taking them in on Trade or willing to buy them. The safety recall affecting 100K+ units is still a big "unknown"... meaning there isn't yet a set fix for it, Toyota dealers don't yet have a repair timeline or know the magnitude of the fix. Will it be an engine replacement? A smaller fix? They don't know yet. Because of that, they're not willing to buy 2022-24 Tundras from people. If they do, prepare to get wholesale value because the dealers are only allowed to wholesale the vehicles to other dealerships, not sell to the public. It's a sticky situation and I don't wish that upon anyone. WE all buy Toyota pickups because they've generally offered solid peace of mind and great resale values. Those days are gone unfortunately. People will be gun-shy of this new Tundra for quite some time. Rightfully so. Between the insanely high price tag, awful turn radius, faulty door cards with wind noise, fake V8 sounds pumped through the speaker system, and plastic-filled interiors... People are not impressed.
This new 2022+ Toyota Tundra is NOT LIKE the Tundras of old, and well, people are figuring that out the hard way. The prices of reliable V8 Tundras are spiking up along with 3rd Gen Toyota Tacomas, and the 2024 and older 5th gen 4Runner will soon join that pack. People want reliability, simplicity and affordability. None of which the new 2022, 2023, 2024 Toyota Tundra delivers. It's a shame.
What are your honest thoughts? Are you shocked to see the terrible resale values of the new Tundras? What do you think of dealers refusing to take the 2022+ Tundra in on trade or purchase?
Thank you for watching as always, if you haven't already please consider Liking and Subscribing. Your support means a lot, thank you!
