Youth advocates are pushing back after more than 40 young offenders were abruptly transferred from juvenile facilities to adult prisons due in part to overcrowding.
The move comes a week after the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) also stopped intakes at the Echo Glen and Green Hill facilities to help combat the rapidly rising juvenile population there.
