Construction of the dilapidated road between Damra in Assam and Bajengdoba in Meghalaya is set to begin after decades of neglect
It was ceremonially started on October 11 at Mendipathar in North Garo Hills in presence of three NPP MLAs
The road will be a 2-lane highway, about 40-km in length
It is expected to ease the problems faced by locals
It will be constructed under the assistance of the Asian Development Bank with contractors Badri Rai and Company
