After making a HUGE splash at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Britt Poulton and Dan Madison Savage's THEM THAT FOLLOW has migrated to warmer weather for its Texas premiere at SXSW.
The film, which is set within a community of believers who sacrifice themselves (and their fears) to death-dealing snakes to prove their commitment to God, centers around a pastor’s daughter and the haunting secret that she holds deep within her chest. A slow-burn in the best way possible, THEM THAT FOLLOW provides a unique character study that challenges the grey area that exists between faith and family.
Mara and Augie sit at the center of the film, prompting a wealth of questions, only some of which can be answered. Fortunately both Alice Englert and Thomas Mann were on hand to discuss some of the broader issues of the film - like their excitement to working with now Academy Award winner Olivia Colman and Emmy nominee Walton Goggins.
