Molyneux's question, commonly known as Molyneux's problem, also known as the knowledge argument, is a thought experiment that raises the question of whether a person who has been blind from birth could immediately recognize objects upon gaining sight. The problem is named after English philosopher William Molyneux, who first posed it in 1688.
