This healthy easy vegan gluten-free chocolate mug cake recipe is so decadent and so chocolatey. It is similar to a piece of chocolate cake that you'd order at a fancy restaurant. But you don't have to leave your house or even turn on the oven to enjoy it!
It is also dairy free, sugar-free, oil-free, whole food plant based, eggless and the perfect way to quickly satisfy a chocolate cake craving without any guilt.
You just need 3 tablespoons of (gluten-free) flour, 3 tablespoons of sweetener (I like monk fruit), 3 tablespoons of cacao powder, 3 tablespoons of almond milk, 1 1/2 tablespoons of applesauce, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and you have the option to add chocolate chips as a topping to intensify the chocolate flavor.
Mix all of the ingredients except for the chocolate chips. Once nicely mixed put the chocolate chips on top and microwave your chocolate mug cake for about 1 minute. Check it with a toothpick and if it doesn't come out clean add about 15 seconds or so. Then enjoy your vegan gluten free chocolate mug cake :)
