In one of the recent comments, @jeremythomaswebb1485 was asking me about the full Thomas & Friends theme music and I realized, to my surprise, that I had never uploaded it to my channel. So, I decided to change that and this video is the result.

For those who are not aware, the full Thomas theme can only be found on the DVD menus of the Best of Thomas US/Canadian DVD, originally released in 2001. Other US/Canadian Thomas DVD menus have portions of the theme but not the full thing. The audio from the Best of Thomas DVD menu is not very good audio quality. There is quite noticeable white noise throughout the entire recording and it plays a little bit too fast at a heightened pitch. My goal was to restore the audio, as much as possible, to the speed, pitch and general sound quality of the theme heard on the Seasonal Scrapes UK DVD menu (which features the opening theme at uncompressed 48kHz 16-bit PCM which is 1536kbps, like a .wav file). After some hours of work, I got it to sound quite nice to my liking, though I did use some clips from the actual Seasonal Scrapes DVD menu to patch up a few bits. I recommend to anyone to please listen with headphones if you can.

Next, I turned to the video. My first concept was to feature the opening title card from all of the original 7 seasons of the show and include footage of Thomas traveling with Annie and Clarabel from each of those seasons using their original 4:3 masters. During editing, I remembered how the theme music was featured with the different nameboards so I thought I would try to include one nameboard/namecard for each character who got one. I also remembered how Thomas & Friends is well-known for on-screen accidents and crashes and I decided to highlight some of those. Ultimately, I ended up using very little S6 and S7 footage but I'm still glad with how the video turned out overall. It was more work than I expected but I'm quite satisfied with it.
