NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Unissued Scepter Records recording) Eventually racking up over 35 singles on the Scepter label, it was February 1961, early in their successful career that the girls and their production team were working on a follow-up to their world-wide smash, 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow'. Written by Willie Denson and their producer, Luther Dixon, 'Mama Said' was born. As with many recording sessions, producers and arrangers will sample different arrangements and musical elements before mixing and editing what they believe to be the hit-bound version. In the case, while a version of 'Mama Said' was cut with a string section, it was not included in the final master. Here is take 7 of the strings added to the backing track.
