Once the diagnostic hytserolaparoscopy is performed, there should be a cooling period of atleast 4 to days for the endometrium to rebuild itself after the normal saline distension of the uterine cavity. however when ethylene blue is used to check the patency of the fallopian tubes, it takes about a week to 10 days time for the methylene blue to be completely washed off from the tissues. In such cases we would not try for pregnancy in the cycles ‘ where hysterolapapsocpy is performed, however if the fallopian tubes are check only with normal saline, with drop of betadine, in such cases, one can try for conception the same cycle also. However the immediate cycle after the hysterolaparosocpy, intrauterine insemination or natural try for pregnancy can be done without any hesitation.
