In January 1972, First Lady Pat Nixon visited Liberia in the first stop of a three country solo tour of Africa-- the first for a First Lady. In this clip, Mrs. Nixon is entertained by traditional Liberian dances and presented with a "lappa," a long wrapped skirt, and a "buppa," its matching blouse.
