Gugh, correctly pronounced 'Gyew', is an island on the Isles of Scilly which is just 491ft from St Agnes at its closest points. The island is also connected to St Agnes at low tide by a sand bar which is how I got across. The island is mainly moorland with a few beaches. There are also a number of burial chambers and a standing stone known as 'The Old Man of Gugh'. There are also amazing views across the islands, especially St Agnes and St Mary's. The island has just three inhabitants
