Playthrough of Mental Omega 3.3.5 Soviet mission #16 - Firewalking on Mental Difficulty.

"Screw you, im gonna play the mission my way" - me after somoene told me i have problems because im not following proper placement of bunkers.

What is left of Confederation forces evacuated from South America and joined the rest of the fleet. However, an area where they could reorganize and regroup was necessary - and it turns out there is just a place to do so. After the MIDAS strike in Chicago the area was rumored to be off limits for everyone - but that was a massive lie. In fact, it served as one of Epsilon bases of operation during that time, and now with Psychic Amplifier being prepared to take over the area it threatens the entire area of USSA. Soviets plan to take over the device to give themselves some breathing space, but another factor appears - USA Rebels are already there, and want to reclaim Amplifier for themselves. Prepare for a mexican standoff.

You will need all your Catastrophes alive. Use them to defend the starting forces and your base - feel free to skip Factory, go for radar instead and start spamming Tesla Coils. Bunkers will get you in trouble, so i will explain this later. Money you receive should last you for a while, so feel free to handle the enemy with just defenses and starting Catastrophes. Once you reach T3, add Smoke Turrets to your defensive line - it should hold for quite a while. Use Kirovs to wipe out production from small Russian outpost - it will send Demo trucks at you, so better if you clean it up quickly. You can either avoid Allied base or deal with it, my choice is to capture it - it grants me safe money expansion and necessary components for Easter egg completion.

Field Burau can be your key building or annoyance - you will need it however. Placing Bureau and Radar provides you with 2 sets of reinforcements, introduces Drakuv - one of most fun units in the game - and after couple of minutes Nuke, but launches big attack wave at you. Be prepared. Troops taken from Drakuv can be put in Field Bureau, granting you new infantry tech - mixing infantry of other factions with Catastrophes can yeld pretty good outcome, so feel free to experiment. Approach the Epsilon base from left side (Thanks Stolen!) and use Nuke to clear out some of guards. DO NOT NUKE AMPLIFIER - ITS NO LONGER IMMUNE TO ALL DAMAGE. Use curtained Catastrophes to clear out defenders and sneak a transport with engineer to complete the mission by capturing the Amplifier.

For easter egg you will need a piece of Allied tech - Stallion. Send it with Engineer inside to broken bridge with Camera Dolly in it. Claim it using the Engineer, transport it to small area next to your starting point - placing it in the middle will grant you infantry reinforcements and 3 crates, one contains money and remeaning 2 veterancy.
