Koen Boone (Wageningen University/The Sustainability Consortium) presents the fast-changing landscape of sustainability initiatives in the food supply chain. He describes the acceleration taking place in this area as several trends converge: e.g. greater pressure from investors, greater attention from consumers, new policy developments – including developments in sustainability reporting standards which are not specific to food, but could have important implications for the sector.
