Most people with chronic fatigue syndrome have trouble regulating their adrenaline and cortisol levels, which can lead to an increased risk of depression, anxiety, and even cardiovascular disease. One strategy for managing your symptoms may be to learn how your body works so you're better able to calm it down when it's experiencing stress or tension.
You know what it's like to have your nervous system constantly on alert, ready for a fight or flight response at any moment. That's why this video is especially important to you. You must learn how to calm down your nervous system.
The first thing that we need to do is figure out what exactly triggers our nervous systems. For many people with chronic fatigue syndrome, stress and anxiety are major factors. It can be difficult if not impossible for us to regulate these emotions without help from a therapist or coach.
The nervous system is the means by which your body sends messages to and from your brain. When you are under stress, it can be hard on both your mental health as well as physical.
