Directed by David Lodge in 1988
David Lodge studied animation at the Royal College of Art.
He started off as a freelance animator and then became a storyboard artist and animator whilst at Snapper Films which led to him directing a few TV title sequences from 1998-1990. He started shooting commercials in 1991.
He won the Palme D'or/Prix de Jury at the Cannes Film Festival in 1998 for best short film. The film, HORSESHOE was based on a poem by Charles Bukowsky about a dentist appointment.
The following year David made another short film called La Comtesse De Castiglione which was awarded many times.
He has directed commercials for clients such as Renault, McDonalds, Toyota, Ikea, British Telecom, Ford, Mr Kipling, Virgin and Vodafone.
