Helen Chamberlain leaves Soccer AM after over 20 years with two new presenters announced in revamp

Helen Chamberlain has left Soccer AM after more than 20 years on the sofa - as the show is being revamped for the new season.
The 50-year-old TV host began on the football show in 1995 alongside Tim Lovejoy and the programme gained a cult following amongst football fans on Saturday mornings.
But since Lovejoy left in 2007 the show’s ratings have decreased and it is now screened for 90 minutes when it used to last up to four hours.
For the new season Soccer AM will be fronted by rising star comedian Lloyd Griffith, former Hull and Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard and existing host John “Fenners” Fendley.
At its peak ten years ago audiences were around 300,000 viewers with sketches and segments including Third Eye, Nutmeg files and The Crossbar Challenge, but the show now enjoys a smaller fanbase of around 60,000.
