Come and take a look at THE Grand Junction! The town of Grand Junction was founded in the Summer of 1882, on the Junction of the Grand River (now known as the Colorado River) and the Gunnison River. These are 2 power house rivers of the Western Slope of Colorado.
Unfortunately the merging of these 2 great rivers is not the most scenic area of the Western Slope, however it is the namesake of the largest town on the Western Slope.
