Former Pak PM Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, have been sentenced to 7 years in prison and been fined after a Court ruled their 2018 marriage 'illegal.' The couple have each been fined 500,000 rupees, which is $1,800.
Bushra has been accused of not completing the waiting period mandated by Islam, called "Iddat", after divorcing her previous husband. Bushra's ex-husband, Khawar Maneka, brought the criminal complaint against the Khans. This is Imran Khan's third conviction in one week.
