This is an interview Suede did in 2011, talking about their smash hit third album, "Coming Up", from 1996. The songwriters, Brett Anderson, Neil Codling and Richard Oakes talk about the making of the album, as well as the place where the band found itself at the time. The album was a "comeback" album for the group, not because "Dog Man Star", arguably their magnum opus, had been a failure of any kind, but because after the inner turmoil the band faced in the making of that album, even losing a pivotal member, Bernard Butler, co-songwriter and guitarist, who quit the band at the end of the recordings, they had to prove to everybody that they still had it, even with two new and unknown members. And they did in spades. The longer interview, from 2013, will be uploaded soon.
