[ Ссылка ] Welsh rock’n’roll troubadour Gruff Rhys has explored many boundaries of the musical form. Through nine albums with Super Furry Animals, two with Neon Neon (his project with hip hop producer Boom Bip) and handful of solo LPs, Gruff Rhys has distinctively documented the lives of others and set their stories to pop music heavily seeped in timeless melody and wide-eyed wonder.
Proud to highlight his Welsh heritage, American Interior explores the tale of a distant relative, John Evans – a fearless Welsh explorer travelled the Americas in the late 1800’s in search of a lost tribe of native Americans that fascinatingly shared is mother tongue. The resulting record is a jolly romp that borrows from traditional Americana sounds but is not completely lacking the familiar, off-kilter Super Furry Animals’ influence (hear the computer generated, sung completely in Welsh, Allweddellay Allweddol).
Gruff came in tot he RN studios to play some songs fomr the Album in a special Set for The Inside Sleeve.
