Watch: Grand Ram Navami Celebrations In Ayodhya; "Surya Tilak" Illuminates Lord Ram's Idol

Millions across India offered prayers on Ram Navami, a day which marks the birth anniversary of Lord Ram. This year, grand celebrations were organised at the recently constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The festivities were also marked by “Surya Abhishek” of Lord Ram’s idol. During the ceremony, sun rays symbolically fell on the forehead of the idol with the help of high-quality mirrors and lenses. Researchers from IIT Roorkee were roped in for the “Surya Abhishek” mechanism. Prime Minister Modi extended Ram Navami wishes to people across the country. Home Minister Amit Shah visited Ram temple in Madhya Pradesh to offer prayers to mark the day.
