Expressing grief over the death of 10 Jawans and a civilian in a Naxal attack, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister on April 28 said that the sacrifice of Jawans including a civilian will not go in vain and they will be given compensation according to the Naxal policy.
He said, “Dantewada SP had received confidential information about Naxalites. At the spot, our team had an encounter with Naxalites, a Naxalite was being captured and brought, during which IED blast killed 10 Jawans and a civilian. I pay tribute to him. Our Jawans have sacrificed their lives fighting, this battle will be fought swiftly.”
“According to the Naxal policy made for Jawans and civilians, a compensation will be given to kin of 10 DRG Jawans and a driver who lost their lives in the Naxal attack in Dantewada,” he added.
