Leave a Comment of your favorite example of the McGurk effect!
The Mcgurk effect is a sensory illusion that occurs when our brain is hearing an audio input, and we are presented with a contradictory visual stimulus such as the text on the screen.
Our brain will attempt to match the audio with what we are seeing on screen, and this results in us hearing something different than what the speaker is actually saying. Our mind essentially makes a quick switch between the words causing our brain to latch on to the new perceived pattern of sound despite the audio itself not changing.
