Lake Compounce Bristol, Connecticut is America's oldest amusement park! There is a lot of history in this park that makes it really charming and special. BUT they also have new attractions and a lot of fun to be had for all ages. Hot day? visit Crocodile Cove, the water park inside of Lake Compounce! We also visited on the date of the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest regional qualifying round which was cool to experience and see #2 ranked eating champion Geoffrey Esper of Major League Eating. This was the first time I passed out in a park! It was scary but thankfully, the staff at Lake Compounce was awesome and really helped me out.
